Beef and Vegetable Pie
This recipe makes a great pie and also you can make a pasty shaped pastry of any size. It can be meal sized, or snack size. Very good for parties.
500g minced beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
¾ cup beef stock
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 brown onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled, grated
1 cup pumpkin
½ cup frozen peas
2 tablespoons plain flour
You can vary the vegetables to suit your taste
Place onions in a large flat pan and cook until slightly brown. Add beef and cook for a few minutes.
Combine stock and sauces and add to beef. Add vegetables, and add flour to thicken. Cook gently for five or ten minutes and remove from heat. Allow to cool completely.
Cook at 180 degrees until golden brown.
