Beef with Peppers
This works as a sizzle dish. Just withhold the liquids at the end to pour over the heated iron plate.
500g fillet steak, cut into thin slices
150g mushrooms, cut into strips
2 onions, chopped
1 red capsicum, sliced
2 tablespoon oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon five spice powder
1 teaspoon cornflour
½ cup water
2 chicken stock cubes
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Heat oil in wok, add beef and toss for 1 minute. Add onion and toss a further minute. Add garlic, five spice powder and cook until onion are beginning to soften. Add mushrooms and capsicum and cook for a minute or two.
Add combined water, stock cubes, and soy sauce, and stir until sauce thickens.
