Peggy’s Plum Pudding
Peggy’s Plum Pudding. An excellent Plum Pudding that works every time.
There are no added sugar, butter, eggs, or flour in this recipe. You can substitute the Breadcrumbs for Breakfast cereals like oats or cornflakes.
2 cups mixed fruit
2 cups soft bread crumbs
1 cup milk in which 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda has been dissolved
1 mashed banana (squeeze lemon over banana)
Mix ingredients together and place in a pudding steamer and steam for 2½ to 3 hours.
For a variation Try adding a tablespoon of Nutmeg Cinnamon or Mixed Spice or a combination of all three.
